Course Description: This course provides an overview of the scientific research process, covering the fundamental steps and best practices for conducting high-quality research. Students will learn about research design, literature review, hypothesis formulation, experimental methods, data collection and analysis, and scientific communication. The course emphasizes hands-on experience through class assignments and a final research project. Learning Objectives: By the end of this course, students will be able to: - Understand the scientific method and the general process of conducting research - Perform effective literature reviews to identify research gaps and formulate testable hypotheses - Design appropriate experimental or observational studies to address research questions - Apply relevant quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques - Interpret research findings and draw conclusions supported by evidence - Communicate research effectively through written reports and oral presentations Major Topics Covered: 1.
